With the correct product, application , equipment and knowledge we completed the job.
After a gentle clean to remove debris , we applied a high quality biocide to kill the biofilm of algae that’s living on the tarmac. This avoids needless aggressive methods on a sensitive surface. Obviously the customer is keen to make there drive last as long as possible. Then we leave nature to do the rest. The weather cycle of rain , wind and sun will remove what is left.

So, a good result for both parties. Us – we got paid and have a repeat customer who will continue to use us for there exterior cleaning. The homeowner – They do not have to spend there entire weekend getting wet. The drive looks fantastic and we have established a method of cleaning it which causes zero wear and tear ( to a surface which can be problematic ).
We can apply this treatment to any surface not just tarmac. It works particularly well on tarmac as due to its rough texture there are many small areas for damp to sit . This is where algae grows in the damp conditions and spreads all over the drive. Eventually moss forms. Ideally you should have the treatment before the moss forms because this creates much more hard work, meaning time and money.
