This is the one of the most stunning views around Wharfedale, looking over Ilkley Golf Club. So it was important we did a great job on cleaning and preserving this valuable wooden deck , posts and rails. First it’s move the huge plant pots. Next it’s a sweep. Then a light , careful but thorough wash with the pressure washer. Making sure to work along the lengths of timber so as to avoid any striping. It’s also important to use the correct jets and nozzles so as not to cause feathering of the wood fibres ( by blasting too hard and close ).
Once the grime and slime is washed away , and the wood has had a moment to dry off , we apply the biocide treatment until the surface is saturated . The product soaks right into the wood killing off algae , mould , moss , fungus etc. It therefore acts as a preservative and inhibits re growth. It’s a great way to prepare for a coat of stain or decking oil. Or it can be done on its own as general maintenance. We recommend an annual treatment to keep your wood in good condition.
