Do you need to walk on the roof ?
Not necessarily. We have a long reach pole which enables us to reach from a mobile scaffold tower. This means we clean the roof with low pressure hot water.
Do you use a pressure washer? In most cases yes we use a surface cleaner with two rotating fan nozzles. This can be set on a low pressure setting with hot water up to 120 degrees. The heat melts away lichens and moss and means less pressure can be used. We do also offer manual ‘scraping’ of roof tiles where appropriate. This method still requires a rinse down afterwards with a pressure washer.
Do you apply any chemicals ?
Yes we always apply chemicals after we have finished cleaning. This really finishes the job properly , basically sterilising the roof tiles. The chemicals we use are regulated and should be used according to COSHH guidelines provided. If you wish to see Safety Data Sheets we are happy to provide them.
