Hire us to give you the best long term option. We will seal the drive with a hardener , solidifying the sand in the joints. This will mean you can brush , hose or even pressure wash the joints and they will remain in tact. Yes , the initial cost of sealing is much higher than a normal clean ( approx two and a half times ) this allows for the cost of a high grade acrylic sealant. There are cheap products available from DIY outlets and Amazon , eBay etc but they will not produce the results required. Whats the process?
We will come to your property and assess the job to discuss your requirements. We can determine the history of the drive and an overview of surroundings, vehicle traffic , condition of blocks. We will measure the drive to give you a price which will be around £10 per square meter. Sometimes overhanging trees and foliage must be first cut back. Weedkiller is often advised as a pre treatment before we begin the cleaning. Generally we will pressure wash the drive first , stripping the blocks back to bare concrete and removing all the mud, moss ,weeds and old sand from the joints. We then allow 3 days drying out time before we re apply the jointing sand and apply two coats of the sealer to the blocks and joints. Then you will have a unified protected surface.
