Will the process damage my drive?
No. We do use high powered pressure washers, which can indeed cause damage if used incorrectly. But we take great care to avoid aggravating sensitive areas. If for instance we notice loose pointing before we begin, we can provide a quote to replace this as part of the job.
The most upset we will probably cause is to the joints in between bloc paving. However removing these old moss and dirt filled joints is an essential part of the job. When newly installed they were filled with dry , clean jointing sand. Overtime they become miniature flower- beds! Our quotation will include returning with fresh sand (when the paving is dry ) and sweeping into the joints.
We can also provide a quotation to ‘seal ‘ the paving and joints with an acrylic polymer. This will stop the jointing sand washing away as it dries solid. It also prevents the blocks from eroding and creates an easy surface to clean and maintain.

Shall I just have a go myself?
You can give it a go! Be warned though most domestic pressure washers are not strong enough for this task. They are good for washing the car and maybe ok for rinsing off patios, but you will most likely fail on a drive as a domestic machine will not have enough volume of water at high enough pressure to do the job.
